Our company may collect personal data for various purposes. Below, we describe how and in what manner personal data is collected, as well as how it is protected.
1. Collection and Use of Personal Data
Some personal information about members (such as name, surname, company information, phone number, address, or e-mail address) is collected by our Store as required by the nature of the business when membership forms or various forms and surveys on our Store are filled out.
From time to time, our Company may send campaign information, details about new products, and promotional offers to its customers and members. Our members can choose whether or not to receive such information during registration; they can subsequently change this preference in their account information section after logging in, or they can notify us using the link provided in any information email they receive.
During the approval process carried out through our Store or via e-mail, the personal information that our members send to our Store electronically will not be disclosed to third parties except for the purposes and scope set forth by the “User Agreement” we have concluded with our Members.
2. Use of IP Addresses
In order to identify system-related problems and to resolve any issues or disputes that may arise in relation to the services provided, our Company records and uses the IP addresses of its members. IP addresses can also be used to broadly identify users and to gather comprehensive demographic information.
3. Direct Marketing and Statistical Analysis
Our Company may also use the information requested for purposes outside the scope set forth in the Membership Agreement for direct marketing purposes, either itself or through its collaborators. Personal information may also be used when necessary to contact the user. Information requested by our Company, or information provided by the user, or information regarding transactions carried out through our Store may be used by our Company and its collaborators, provided that the identity of our members is not disclosed, for statistical evaluations, database creation, and market research outside the scope set forth by the “Membership Agreement.”
4. Protection of Confidential Information
Our Company undertakes to keep confidential information strictly private and confidential, to treat it as a duty of confidentiality, and to take all necessary measures and exercise due diligence to ensure and maintain confidentiality, to prevent any or all of the confidential information from becoming public domain, unauthorized use, or disclosure to a third party.
Credit Card Security
Our Company places the security of credit card holders who shop on our e-commerce sites at the forefront. Your credit card information is never stored in our system. Your credit card transactions are provided through the Iyzico Virtual Payment Platform.
When you enter the transaction process, there are two things you should look for to understand that you are on a secure site. One of them is the key or lock icon at the bottom of your browser. This indicates that you are on a secure webpage, and all your information is protected by encryption.
This information is only used in accordance with the sales process and based on your instructions. Credit card information used during shopping is encrypted with the 128-bit SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) protocol and sent to the relevant bank independently of our e-commerce sites for verification. If the card’s availability is approved, the shopping process continues. Because no information about the card is visible to or recorded by us, it is prevented from being acquired by any third party under any circumstances.
Orders placed online by credit card are inspected by our Company for Fraud Prevention (Credit Card Fraud) regarding the reliability of payment/invoice/shipping address information. Therefore, for first-time orders from our e-commerce sites, it is necessary to confirm the accuracy of financial and address/phone information before proceeding to the procurement and delivery stages. If necessary, we may contact the credit card holder or the relevant bank for verification of this information.
Only you can access and change all the information you provide when you become a member. If you protect your login credentials securely, it is not possible for others to access and modify your information. For this purpose, a 128-bit SSL security area is used during membership transactions. This system is an international encryption standard that cannot be cracked.
Online shopping sites that have a support hotline or customer service and explicitly state their address and phone information are preferred more nowadays. In this way, you can get detailed information about any questions you may have, and you can gain more reliable information about the trustworthiness of the online shopping company.
Note: We recommend paying attention to whether the open address and phone number of the company are stated on internet shopping sites. If you are going to shop, note down all the phone/address information of the store from which you are buying the product before you make the purchase. If you are not sure, call beforehand to confirm. All our company information and the location of our company are specified on all of our online shopping sites.
Third-Party Websites and Applications
Our Store may include links to other sites. Our Company assumes no responsibility for the privacy practices and content of such sites accessed via these links. The advertisements published on our Company’s site are distributed to our users through our advertising partners.
The principles of this Privacy Policy only apply to the use of our Store and do not cover third-party websites.
Exceptional Circumstances
In the limited circumstances listed below, our Company may disclose user information to third parties in ways other than those specified in this “Privacy Policy.” Such circumstances are limited in number and are:
- To comply with obligations imposed by applicable law, decree-laws, regulations, etc. issued by authorized legal authorities and currently in effect;
- To fulfill and implement the requirements of the “Membership Agreement” and other agreements entered into with our users, and to put these into practice;
- To provide information about users if requested in the course of a properly conducted investigation or inquiry by an authorized administrative or judicial authority;
- Where providing information is necessary to protect users’ rights or security.
E-mail Security
Never write your credit card number or passwords in any emails you send to our Store’s Customer Services regarding any of your orders. Information in emails can be viewed by third parties. Our Company cannot guarantee the security of the information you transmit through emails under any circumstances.
Browser Cookies
Our Company may obtain information about users who visit our Store and how they use our website by using a technical communication file (Cookie). These technical communication files are small text files that an internet site sends to the user’s browser to be stored in the main memory. The technical communication file makes it easier to use the Internet by keeping status and preferences about the site.
The technical communication file helps to statistically identify how many people visit the site, for what purpose, how many times a person visits the site, and how long they stay on the site; it also allows dynamically generating advertisements and content from specifically designed user pages. The technical communication file is not designed to retrieve data or any other personal information from the main memory or your email. Most browsers are set to accept the technical communication file initially, but users can change the settings so that the technical communication file does not arrive or a warning is given when such a file is sent.
Our Company may change the provisions of this “Privacy Policy” by publishing on the site or by sending an email to users, or by posting on the site at any time. The Privacy Policy provisions become effective on the date they are published.
